UNIVERSITY PARTNERS
To be fully certified teachers in the state of New Jersey, corps members must participate in an Alternate Route certification or master's program. In North and South Jersey, Teach For America has a partnership with two universities: Relay Graduate School of Education (RGSE) and Rutgers University. More information about our programs will be disseminated in the spring.
This is your main forum to receive information about the certification partners. All corps members must choose one program to enroll in by the summer training Institute. Please see the resources below to learn more about the programs. Some of our school partners have strong relationships with a specific university partner. Once you are hired – ask your school principal or executive director if they have a specific certification program they want you to complete. If you have questions about a specific partnership – please reach out to the University directly (contact information is included) to get your answers as quickly as possible.
